Governor Muhammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has sworn in 19 commissioners.
The swearing in took place on Wednesday, six months after he dissolved the state cabinet.
Speaking at the inauguration, the governor, called on the new commissioners to be committed and show exemplary leadership qualities in the running of the affairs of the government.
Stressing that they were chosen based on merit, the governor warned them against indolence and the temptation to embezzle public funds.
He said anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law.
He said they should also be fair to the people of the state in their activities.
He advised them to be prudent especially in view of the lean resources available to the state.
