The institution’s Registrar, Mr Oladejo Azeez, had on Wednesday issued a public notice on the purported removal of the Vice Chancellor at a meeting held at the National Universities Commission (NUC’s) office in Abuja.

Responding to the notice, also on Wednesday, the foremost university, in a statement signed by Prof Ogundipe himself, described the removal as untrue and a figment of the Registrar’s imagination.
