There are conflicting reports on Friday over the current status of the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who was said to have resigned her appointment.
While reports were rife that she had resigned over alleged forgery of the National Youths Service Corps Exemption Certificate, the Presidency has kept mum.
Efforts to get official response from the Presidency proved abortive.
While the spokesmen of the president did not pick their calls, a text message sent to one of them for confirmation or denial is yet to be answered as at the time of filing this report.
Efforts to speak with Adeosun’s media aide, Yinka Akintunde, did not yield fruit.
He did not pick his calls.
However, an inside source told The Next Edition that there might be an iota of truth in the report that she has resigned.
The source said there were indications that Adeosun was considering resigning, but she had not submitted the letter to that effect.

According to the source, until the letter was received, she remained in the system.
When the news broke in July, Adeosun said the certificate was obtained for her by a third party.
Going through NYSC scheme is compulsory for all Nigerians who graduate from the university or equivalent institutions at an age less than 30 years.
Those who graduate from schools outside the country, under the age of 30 are required by law to undergo the compulsory service whenever they return to the country irrespective of the age of return.
