The United Nations has resumed humanitarian activities in Borno State and other North Eastern part of the country affected by insurgency.
Malam Isa Gusau, the Special Adviser on Communication to Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno, announced this in a statement in Maiduguri on Saturday.
The UN humanitarian office in Maiduguri had on Friday announced the suspension of its humanitarian operations in the area to protest the invasion of its building by soldiers.
The invasion was a continuation of a cordon and search operation in Maiduguri on Friday by the military.
In the operation, it searched some houses, including one believed to be occupied by UN officials.
The extension of the search to the house was in view of the new method adopted by Boko Haram terrorists in carrying out attacks.

The spokesman of Operation Lafiya Dole, Lt.-Col. Kingsley Samuel, who issued a statement on Friday on the exercise explained that the UN building did not have any sign to show its ownership or occupants.
According to him, no arrest was made of the occupants.
The action however did not go down well with the UN and it suspended its activities in the area.
But in the statement by Malam Isa Gusau, the Special Adviser on Communication to Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno, the UN said it had resumed operation
He said the< governor had earlier contacted the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, and informed her of the development.
