Troops capture two Boko Haram suspects in Yobe

Two suspected members of the terrorists group, Boko Haram, have been arrested by the military.

The arrest was made in Sasawa Village in Yobe.

This was made known on Wednesday in a statement issued in Damaturu by Capt. George Okupe, spokesman of the 233 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade, Operation Lafiya Dole.

He said the captured insurgents were Kiri Imoru and Tijjani Goni.

According to him, they were arrested while fleeing from their hideout.

“The two terrorists claimed to escape from a hideout at Futchumaram in Geidam Local Government Area” the statement added.

In the statement, the military said it had immunized 1,227 children against polio in 13 villages in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe.

The immunization, he explained, was part of the medical support services provided by the brigade.
