Sheikh Muhammad Mahi Ibrahim Inyass, leader of Tijjaniyya Islamic sect in Africa has expressed concern over unlawful spread and possession of weapons among Africans.
Sheikh Mahi who is the biological son of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, founder of the sect, was speaking when he paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero on Thursday.
He said that the rampant and illegal possession of weapons led to the current security challenges bedevilling Africa.
He called on African governments and the African Union to intensify efforts and map out modalities to address insecurity on the continent once and for all.

He stressed the need for people to watch their deeds for adjustment and not to relent in their efforts in observing prayers seeking for God’s intervention against insecurity and other challenges.
Responding, the Emir of Kano commended the visitor for his most historic visit considering the long existing cordial relationship between their predecessors.
Ado-Bayero appealed to the visitor to always include the emirate, Kano State and Nigeria in prayers to overcome the current security challenges that had become a contagion in Africa. (NAN)
