South-West Govs, Ministers Visit Sanwo-Olu

Some South-West governors and ministers, on Sunday, paid a visit to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to commiserate with him over the destruction of public and private facilities in the state.

The visitors included Governors Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

The Ministers who came visiting were; Ministers of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of State for Health, Olorunmibe Mamora and Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Niyi Adebayo.

Others were; Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and Minister of Mines and Steel, Olamilekan Adebite.

The ministers said they were directed by the Federal Government to carry out an on the spot assessment tour on the damaged infrastructure, following the hijacking of the #EndSars protest.

Sanwo-Olu took the visitors on a tour of some of the facilities torched by the hoodlums.

They include; Orile Divisional Police Headquarters, Ajah Divisional headquarters, Amukoko Police Station on Cemetery Road, Lagos State Public Works Corporation in Ojodu, Lagos Island LGA Secretariat, City Hall, Nigeria Port Authority building at Marina, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre at CMS, Vehicle Inspection Service headquarters at Ojodu and Toll Plazas at Lekki and Ikoyi Link Bridge, among others.
