Barely some hours after the attack which led to the death of four persons during a Christmas carol service in Kaduna, another case of violence has been reported.
In the latest attack, no fewer than six people were killed.
The killing, it was gathered, happened in the same community – Anguwan Mailafiya, Gwong Chiefdom, Jama’a local government area of Kaduna State.
The attack is suspected to have been carried out by herdsmen.
The killing was made known by a member of the House of Representatives, Shehu Garba ( Jema’a/ Sanga Federal Constituency) in a statement issued on Monday.
“It was with deep shock and concern that I received the news of the attack on Nindem Village in Godogodo Chiefdom at about 10 pm on Friday 22 December, 2017.

“In the attack, four persons were killed and 10 others were critically injured.
“While we were mourning the deaths at Nindem, at about 10pm on Christmas eve on Sunday, the security personnel received distress calls of another attack at Ungwan Mailafiya, Gwong Chiefdom.
“By daybreak on Christmas day, six persons were confirmed killed including a child of about six years old while many others were injured.”
In the statement, the legislator called on the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, and security agencies to arrest the spate of growing violence.
