Second COVID-19 Victim In Benue Responding To Treatment - Ongbabo

The second victim of the COVID-19 pandemic in Benue State, quarantined at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Makurdi, is stable and responding to treatment.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sunday Ongbabo, disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Makurdi on Monday.

Ongbabo, Secretary of the State’s Action Committee on COVID-19, noted that the patient had been cooperating with the committee.

He explained that blood samples of all persons that might have come in contact with the victim had been collected and forwarded for testing, even as they were cooperating with the committee.

In a related development, he said, results of the blood samples taken from 14 youths travelling from Kano to Benue who were intercepted by the COVID-19 Task Force were being expected.

Ongbabo assured that any of them that tested positive would be treated by government, while the rest would be taken back to their state.
