American singer and songwriter, Robert Sylvester Kelly, popularly known as R-Kelly has reportedly been attacked inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago.
The singer was attacked by a fellow inmate in the prison where he’s being held on several state and federal sex crime charges.
According to TMZ, the singer was approached by another inmate while sitting on the bed, who proceeded to punch him.

The inmate attacked him because he was angry about the lockdown placed on the detention facility several times because of the singer’s protesters outside the jail.
Luckily, the singer was deemed okay by a doctor who checked him for signs of broken bones and serious injuries.
R-Kelly has been the subject of numerous sexual abuse and misconduct allegations with underage girls and was arrested on July 11, 2019.
He had since pleaded not guilty to these charges.
