Nigerian Twitter users have definitely not been shy about giving their opinions on the performance of the three presidential candidates who participated at the Presidential Debate on Saturday.

The debate organised by the Nigerian Elections Debate Group, NEDG, in collaboration with the Broadcasting Corporation of Nigeria, BON, had in attendance candidates of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Oby Ezekwesili, Alliance for New Nigeria, ANN, Fela Durotoye and Young Progressives Party, YPP, Kingsley Moghalu.

The candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chose to absent themselves from the debate.

The debate trended at number one and of the three candidates present, Moghalu  was the most talked about with over 14.5 thousand tweets about him. These are a few of the reactions from Twitter

.

@AltruisimIsUrSin, “Can Nigerians do it?

Can we abandon Atiku and Buhari and choose a President among Kingsley Moghalu, Oby Ezekwesili, Fela Durotoye?

Can we focus on people who respected us enough to come to this Debate?”

@Uncle_Deji, “In a sane society, Kingsley Moghalu would win this election! None of the other candidates stand a chance against his intellect and approach, but na naija we dey. Would still vote for him if I could, conscience would not let me rest! Enough of that wasting your votes bullshit!”

@Chuvanze, “One day, Kingsley Moghalu will be President of Nigeria.”

@CharlesChidi, “Kingsley Moghalu will not rule this country until he understands that he won’t rule in isolation of other leaders in Nigeria.”

“He will need to build partnerships to make leadership’s effect flow from top to bottom.”

@Dilanney, “Those that support people from the younger generation; kingsley Moghalu, Fela Durotoye, et al.

Do you have your voters card?

Will you come out to vote?”

@itsDonmonc, “So my dad just called me to know if I followed the presidential debate. Turns out he’s still supporting PDP.

Guys I’m about to become the most manipulative son for the next 35 days. I’ll try to convince my dad to dash Kingsley Moghalu his vote for no reason if he loves me ?”

Leslie C Iheduru, “The #2019Debate is over and we have been introduced to our serious candidates, please Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu, Oby Ezekwesili And Fela Durotoye, you all need to form an Alliance. One party. One Presidential aspirant and we’ll support

We Really need to take back Nigeria?”

@ToluSpinnn, “I just cannot Trust Fela Durotoye or Ezekwesili …I’d rather pitch my tent with Kingsley Moghalu.”

@Its_ayomiee, “The way I see it, if Kingsley Moghalu, Oby Ezekwesili, Fela Durotoye and Omoyele Sowore should combine forces, it is very possible for them to beat out both Atiku and Buhari. But then, that’s just wishful thinking.”

@davydace, “I think we should give Kingsley Moghalu a chance. What do you think?”

@warless007, @Kingsley Moghalu is too loaded. He won the debate. #2019Debate”

@Queening_Dee, “Kingsley Moghalu for president! Please who knows where I can donate money to his campaign or volunteer?”

@Nosa_Odia, “Kingsley Moghalu has won my heart..

“Intelligent intelligence” #2019Debate”
