Indication that the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has deepened further emerged on Wednesday with the announcement of a new group, Fresh PDP.
The emergence of the new group was announced at a press conference by one Emmanuel Nwosu in Abuja.
The office of the group is 10, Tito Bros Street, opposite Bon Hotel (former Protea Hotel) in Asokoro, Abuja.
Obviously disenchanted by the outcome of the national convention of the PDP which saw the emergence of Prince Uche Secondus as its chairman, the group said it would not allow some individuals to hijack the party.

“We own this party. Those who wanted to hijack the party during the December 9th national convention were not even in PDP when it was formed in 1998.
“We won’t allow usurpers take over our party. The unity list was imposed on us on December 9th and we are resisting it now,” said Nwosu.
Nwosu said some prominent members of the party were in the new group.
It would be recalled that PDP has been making efforts to appease those angered by the outcome of the national convention.
In the bid, the Seriake Dickson-led committee has been reaching out to those who lost in the national convention of the party where the current set of officers was inaugurated.
