Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed Nigeria’s readiness to partner with international investors and friendly nations to develop its manufacturing sector.
He also gave the assurance that Nigeria was ready to boost infrastructure to provide ambience for investment.
Osinbajo, according to his media aide, Mr. Laolu Akande, in Abuja, made the promise in Davos, Switzerland when he met with a delegation of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) on the sideline of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The delegation was led by Mr Hiroyuki Ishige the organisation’s chairman and CEO
Osinbajo stressed the belief of the nation in the fact that the goal of strengthening the manufacturing sector would be realized with the support of international partners and friendly nations.
He said cooperation with Nigeria over the goal would be mutually beneficial.

He also told the delegation that Nigeria and Japan should be doing more together in the area of manufacturing to deepen their economic relations.
“Nigeria and Japan should be doing more, far more based on the existing long relationship and trade between both countries,” Osinbajo said.
He said Nigeria would provide world-class infrastructure and that that was a good opportunity for investors around the world to tap into.
Osinbajo also added that it would be an opportunity to do some game-changing projects.
In his speech, JETRO’s chairman stated his readiness to promote business in Nigeria and support Nigeria’s export promotion.
