The Niger-Delta Ex-Militant Leaders in Delta state have asked the Interim Committee of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) to disclose findings of their probe on contracts executed in the Programme

Speaking to our Correspondent in Asaba on Friday, Delta state Chairman, phase 2 ex- Militants, Mr. Kingsley Muturu, said that the alleged report submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari to wind up the Programme, would be bad omen to the nation, adding” let not the Interim Committee complicate issues for this nation, We leaders of ex- militants are calling on them to make public the alleged report without delay because beneficiaries are not comfortable with the rumour.”

He said “this is a programme that has not yet fulfilled the disarmament agreement with ex- militants and a group of people woke up one morning and decided to stall the programme, let this rumour be a lie because beneficiaries both trained and yet to be trained, are still waiting on Federal government to responsibly execute the programme to a logical end. A good number of the disarmed and registered ex- militants have not gone for training their relatives and friends through this programme. The candid truth is that ex-militants are not happy in the way and manner the Programme is being run under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration”
