The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has condemned in unequivocal terms the killing of a Nigerian in Libya.
NiDCOM Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, made the condemnation in a statement issued Thursday, and signed by Gabriel Odu of the agency’s Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit.
She described the action allegedly carried out by three Libyan nationals as dastardly, beastial and unacceptable.
Dabiri-Erewa called on Libyan authorities to to apply the full weight of the law on the suspected Killers.

According to the statement posted of the agency’s official Twitter handle, both the Libyan government and the United Nations have condemned the dastardly act.
“Meanwhile a statement by the Libyan Interior Ministry has condemned the act insisting that it is a new wave of violence on migrants in North Africa.
“The United Nations has also described the Killing of the Nigerian man “another senseless crime against migrants in the Country,” Odu stated.
He also stated that the full identity of the Nigerian man set on fire by petrol has not been made known as investigations and interrogations of the suspected attackers who are in custody are on going.
