Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has rolled out a digital portal to streamline its Drug Integrity Test and Visa Clearance services, replacing paperwork-heavy procedures with a faster, fully automated system.
Unveiled in Abuja by NDLEA Chairman, Retd. Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, represented by the Agency’s Secretary, Shadrach Haruna, stated that the Drug Integrity Test and Visa E-Administration System (DITViCAS) is designed to cut delays, curb human interference, and strengthen verification across the process.
The initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s renewed hope agenda and NDLEA’s twin focus on drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction.
How it Works:
The new platform replaces that with an end-to-end digital experience:
Apply from anywhere: Create an account, submit applications, and book appointments online.
Choose your centre & time: Select convenient dates and locations without spending the day at an NDLEA office.
E-certification in minutes: Drug test certificates are generated once a desk officer completes testing and files results.
Faster visa clearance: Processing now targets within three days, up to one week in exceptional cases.
Tamper-proof verification: Built-in e-verification and supervisory dashboards reduce fraud and ensure transparency.
Partner ecosystem: Accredited private medical centres can participate as test locations.
Wider access: Students, institutions, employers, parents, and prospective couples can request Drug Integrity Tests through a standardised, non-judgmental process.
