The Kwara Government has charged youths to cultivate robust relationship with the older generation to learn the intricacies of leadership.

The state Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi, gave the task on Friday in Ilorin while receiving Rep. Shina Peller (APC- Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa) and founder, Lead Generation Initiative.

He challenged the youth to add value to their lives constantly.

He noted that 70 per cent of eligible voters in Nigeria were youths, adding that demography shows the importance of the seminar organised by the group, which was centred on youth involvement in leadership.

He commended Peller for coming to the state to empower and enlighten the youth.

Earlier, Peller described Kwara as a state of harmony where good things happen.

He further stated that deficit in governance was one of the major problems bedeviling Nigeria as a nation, hence the need to build a new generation of leaders with social consciousness for social change.

He said 86 youths from the 16 local government areas of the state participated in the seminar organised by the organisation. (NAN)
