An elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has stressed the need to restructure the nation for proper and peaceful coexistence.
Iwuanyanwu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) member, who lamented that Igbo are not properly accommodated in the nation’s scheme of things, noted that no section of the country has made the type of contributions Igbo have made in nation building and development.

He called on the Federal Government to ensure that the country is restructured before President Muhammadu Buhari leaves office in 2023.
Iwuanyanwu said that the Igbos have made enormous contributions towards the nation’s development and therefore deserve to produce the next president.
He said that of all the countries colonised by Britain, Nigeria was the only one the point man for independence did not become the Prime Minister.
This, he said, was because of the Igbo man’s nature of ensuring peaceful coexistence.
While advocating for rotational presidency among the geo-political zones, he argued that other zones had had their turns and would now support the Igbo presidential candidate.
He maintained that it would be unfair to deny the Igbos the presidency this time around.
