Dr. Marcelli Chinagorom Oguh, the House of Representatives aspirant for the Ezinihitte/Ahaizu Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has picked the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.

He promised to help the party to victory not only in the constituency, but also in Imo State.

Oguh, who spoke to journalists on Tuesday after returning the filled forms to his party’s national secretariat, said he was in the contest to win, not only the primary, but also to emerge the winner in the 2019 election.

The aspirant said he had the capacity and was ready for the electioneering battle.

According to him, 2019 election would make or mar the future and fortunes of Nigeria as an entity.

Oguh said that he would mobilise the necessary resources to ensure that his party ruled Imo State in the next dispensation, even as he commended the party’s leadership in its efforts to ensure a resounding victory in the coming elections.

He stated that he was prepared to confront his opponents and would not condone any illegality during and after the elections.

He stressed that what was needed was fairness, justice, transparency and respect for rule of law, not undue distractions, intimidation and sentiments.

He implored the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to insist on the rules, principles of free and fair elections.

He urged that those who would work for it during the elections should not to be unnecessarily overbearing in the discharge of their duties to save the nation from impending catastrophe.

Oguh also stated that how INEC would conduct the coming elections would determine the nation’s direction after 2019.

He prayed that every stakeholder must see the unity, peace and indivisibility of the Nigerian nation as priority.

He stressed that the world and other African countries had been keenly watching Nigeria and the outcome of the 2019 polls, stressing that politicians and the electoral umpire should ensure that the people were not disappointed.
