Unknown gunmen have invaded Anune community along Naka road, Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue state killing 11 persons.
The Next Edition gathered that the 11 persons were allegedly Killed by gunmen in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State, in the early hours of Saturday, April 17, 2021.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Audu Madaki, who confirmed the invasion, however, did not comment on the number of deaths.

The CP in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, said “Today 17/4/2021 at about 4.30am information was received that gunmen invaded Anune, Naka road, Makurdi.
The Commissioner said a team of Police officers have been deployed to the area to forestall further breakdown of law and order.
