The Commissioners of Police, CPs, in Abia and Ebonyi States have changed positions.
The former CP, Abia State, Mr Eden Okon, has been transferred to Ebonyi State as the new CP while Mr. Awosola Awotinde, has been posted to Abia, ahead of today’s Governorship and States House of Assembly elections.

According to the Abia Police Command Spokesman, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna, who made this known, the new commissioner for Abia assumed duty on Friday morning, after a formal handover from the outgoing CP.
He said that the postings were done for the purposes of the elections and appealed to residents of the state to give the new police boss the “necessary cooperation.”
