Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has tested positive for the Coronavirus after being exposed to a confirmed case.

Sanwo-Olu went into self-isolation on Friday after one of his close aides tested positive.

A tweet on the Lagos State government’s official Twitter handle said the governor has mild symptoms.

The tweet read: “Following Lagos State Governor @jidesanwoolu’s exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19, a PCR test performed yesterday, the 11th of December, has confirmed that he has indeed been infected with the virus, which is supported by mild symptoms and fatigue.
