Kano State House of Assembly on Monday resolved to probe the allegation of graft against the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Ganduje, in a video by an online news medium, Daily Nigerian, was said to have been recorded receiving bribe from a contractor.

Following the development, the House which said it had the power to probe the issue has set up a seven-man committee.

The committee was given the mandate to determine the authenticity of the video.

A member of the House representing Warawa constituency, Alhaji Labaran Madari, moved a motion to that effect.

He was seconded by a member representing Kano Municipal constituency, Baffa Danagundi.

Chaired by Danagundi, the committee has Labaran Madari, the chief whip; Zubairu Massu; Garba Ya’u Gwarmai; Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa; Abubakar Uba Galadima and Mujitaba Aminu as members.
