The emergence of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is bad news for the leading opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Senator Smart Adeyemi who is a prominent member fo the APC made this assertion in an exclusive interview with The Next Edition.
Adeyemi who represented Kogi West for two terms in the National Assembly said Oshiomhole had the capacity to lead the party in the right direction given his antecedent.
“There was no one better than Oshiomhole for this position. We have known him since he was the chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC). He did his job diligently. Go to Benin, the Edo State capital, today, it is beautiful because of Adams Oshiomhole.

“He is a no-nonsense man and members of the PDP know this. They won’t be happy with this news of his emergence. With Oshiomhole at the helm of affairs, no one will leave the party. More people will join us. I am sure about that,” he said.
Smart Adeyemi added that APC would win the general elections easily in 2019 due to the person of President Muhammadu Buhari.
His words: “As for 2019, we are winning. Buhari stands heads and shoulders above every other person vying for that position. Name one of them who has an unblemished track record like President Muhammadu Buhari. You can accuse Buhari of many things, but one thing no one can accuse Buahri of is being corrupt.”
