A pan-Yoruba socio cultural group, Coalition of Oodua Self-Determination Groups (COSEG), has called on Nigerian politicians to learn from the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola’s way of life.
COSEG, while felicitating with Aregbesola on 63rd birthday, pointed out that his great virtues, quality and conducts must be emulated by others in position of authority.
In a statement by its Chairman and Publicity Secretary, Ifedayo Ogunlana and Dele Daramola, respectively, the group congratulated the former governor of Osun State, saying, “other politicians must see and learn from your example that power is indeed responsibility not only to the elites, but also to the downtrodden.”
While describing the minister as a God sent politician that had been consistently providing quality service to the people, the group acknowledged his roles at ensuring peace and protection of Nigerians, as he continues to serve as the country’s interior minister.
“As you continue to play a solid role in ensuring Nigerians move around without molestation or attack from armed bandits and robbers, we also acknowledge the wonderful role you still play as you join your other committee covid19 council members as established by president Buhari.
“This shows the trust and believe the president has in you to bring succor to Nigerians at this auspicious of pandemic time in the history of the world at large and Nigeria in particular,” the statement read in part.
