Emmanuel Uffot, a graduate of Communication Arts from the University of Uyo is a versatile award winning journalist with over 20 years of practical experience.
He started practicing journalism in the university where he wrote for the departmental newspaper and continued as a youth Corp member, writing for ADC Airlines News journal.
His professional career in journalism started with the Source magazine where he rose through the ranks and left as a Senior Staff Writer before re-joining the magazine to head the Business and Economy Desk as Business Editor.
Mr. Uffot was also a pioneer editorial staff of Abuja-based Leadership newspaper. In addition, he headed the Lagos Bureau of the rested News Sentinel newspaper.

He was also Senior Assistant Editor and member of the editorial board at Newswatch magazine, as well as the Business Editor of Nigeria Today newspaper.
Apart from his vast reportorial experience in Business and Economy as well as Politics and Human Interest stories, Mr Uffot is a core investigative journalist whose story on the “Ordeal of children tortured, stigmatized and killed on account of suspicion of being witches in Akwa Ibom state” received international limelight.
He is a recipient of six Nigerian Media Merit Awards ( NMMA) and two Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME).
Mr. Uffot will bring his wealth of experience as an investigative reporter to bear on The Next Edition, which within a few months of operation has about a million hits.
