Disaster was averted on Thursday as the police chopper conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo made a forced landing.
The landing was made shortly after take off.
The chopper was just some 15 feet up when the engine started emitting smoke, making the pilot to make an emergency landing.

Osinbanjo was returning from the graduation of the Senior Division Course 1/2018 at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja, when the incident happened.
He eventually returned by road.
Reporting the incident, Osinbajo’s spokesman, Olaolu Akande wrote on his twitter page: “VP Osinbajo attended the graduation ceremony of Nigeria Customs Senior Course in Gwagwalada today. On his way back it was decided, for technical reasons, not to fly the chopper that had brought him to the venue. He drove back to the Presidential Villa & continued his schedule.”
