The Convener, OneUnitedAfrica Crusade, Bimbo Daramola, has commended Madagascar President, Andry Rajoelina, for taking the lead in the war against COVID-19 in Africa.
With the discovery of home grown cure for Coronavirus codenamed COVID- 19, the lawmaker said Madagascar had rekindled the dream of Africa’s fore bearers.
He said the Madagascar effort was a living testimony that Africans were capable of solving their own problems without necessarily looking for help elsewhere.
The pan-Africanist praised Rajoelina for standing by his conviction even in the face of intimidations and for fighting for what he termed “the new spirit of the new generation of Africans.”

In a position paper titled ‘Enter The New African Hero: President Of Republic Of Madagascar,’ Daramola argued that no nation in history had earned greatness, either by deriding its people, or appropriate those of others.
He showered ecomium on the rare courage and commitment of Rajoelina, saying, “you have showed that Africa is not an annex, annexture, or appendage to anyone, individual, organisation or nation.
“You have taken the first chapter in the new history of Africa that is about to be written. You are the new African Hero….Thank you President Andry Rajoelina for doing us real proud.”
The OneUnitedAfrica crusader charged other Africa leaders to borrow a leaf from the Madagascar experience and confront the scourge headlong.
