COVID-19: Death Toll Rises To 85 As NCDC Announces 220 Fresh Cases

Eighty five people have now died in Nigeria from Coronavirus just as the total number of cases rose to 2, 388.

The jump in the total number of cases followed the confirmation of 220 fresh cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday night.

The new figures showed Lagos returning to the top of the list of states with new cases, accounting for 62 fresh cases while Kano, which has been the hot bed in the past two days recorded only two cases.

Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) accounted for the second largest number of fresh cases with 52 while Kaduna reported 31 cases.

On the positive side, the number of persons who have recovered from the deadly disease rose from 351 to 385.

Below is the latest statistics as announced by the NCDC: “220 new cases of #COVID19;

62-Lagos , 52-FCT, 31-Kaduna, 13-Sokoto, 10-Kebbi, 9-Yobe, 6-Borno, 5-Edo, 5-Bauchi, 4-Gombe, 4-Enugu, 4-Oyo, 3-Zamfara, 2-Nasarawa, 2-Osun, 2-Ebonyi, 2-Kwara, 2-Kano and 2-Plateau.
2388 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria
Discharged: 385
Deaths: 85.”
