Manchester City have won the 2017/2018 English Premier League with Manchester United’s loss to West Bromwich Albion.

They won the league with 87 points ahead of Manchester United who are on 71 points.

That is 16 points ahead of Man United.

They won it 27 points ahead of the defending champions, Chelsea.

Last week, they had the chance to clinch the title at home against their arch rival, Manchester United.

They were leading in that game by two goals in the first half.

In the second half, Paul Pogba scored a brace to make it even.

A few minutes later Chris Smalling scored a goal.

That game ended 3-2 in favour of United.

It was heartbreaking for City fans who wanted to win it against their main rival.

They had to wait till this weekend for another chance.

On Saturday, they saw off a stubborn Tottenham team at Wembley 3-1 to rekindle hope of winning the title in April.

No one imagined that Manchester United would bottle it against a bottom team like West Brom.

A second half goal by West Brom was enough to see them defeat United and give Man City the title.

A former Tottenham player and English football pundit, Tim Sherwood praised the Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola for his feat.

He said, “He would win the league with any of the top four teams. I am talking about Man U, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal. That is how good he is.”

Many asked can he go to England, can he do it in the Premiership.

Now he has seven titles in nine seasons in three different countries.

This year, he made a mockery of the Premier League.

Former Newcastle striker and England international, Alan Shearer also hailed Guardiola.

He admitted, “No one has been near him this season. He beats everyone. No one has been anywhere near his team right from the first match of the season.”

With this victory, Pep Guardiola now has seven league titles in nine seasons in three different countries.
