The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Imo State, Prof. Francis Ezeonu, has said he was not under any pressure to announce a particular result.
He also announced the recommencement of collation and announcement of the governorship election results, which was disrupted in the early hours of Monday morning.
The REC assured that there were extra copies of the result sheets torn by the party agents.

Briefing participants at the collation exercise after the fracas that ensued at the centre in Owerri, the state capital, Ezeonu, warned observers, party agents and politicians to desist from further unnecessary interruption or disturbance as the process continues.
He stressed that the collation centre was not the venue for agents to raise objections to what happened on the field.
