BREAKING: Gunmen Bomb Imo INEC Headquarters

The headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), along Owerri Port Harcourt road in Imo State has been reportedly bombed by suspected gunmen in the early hours of Monday.

According to reports, the gunmen threw grenades through the commission’s fence, destroying several offices and vehicles parked within the premises.

However, sources say the police stationed at the INEC office engaged the gunmen in a heavy shoot-out, leaving three of the gunmen wearing charms and Biafra camouflages dead.

INEC public relations officer, Dr. Chinenye Chijioke-Osuji, has confirmed the attack.
