A loud explosion shook the Iju area of Lagos on Thursday afternoon.
Video clips shared by Twitter users showed thick smoke billowing into the sky.
Iju is located between Agege and Ojodu Berger and is a thickly populated area in Ifako Ijaiye Local Development Area (LCDA).
The explosion is coming a day after a tanker explosion in Kogi killed over 20 people including students and travellers.
