At least, 13 persons were killed in a suicide bomb attack on Saturday at Biu Market, Biu local government area of Borno State.
53 other person sustained various degrees of injuries too.
This was confirmed by the Police in Borno.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Command in Maiduguri, Mr. Victor Isuku, the female suicide bomber also died.

The police officer explained that the attack happened at about 11:40 a.m. when a female suicide bomber infiltrated the market and detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) strapped to her body.
Another bomber, according to him, detonated her own outside the crowded market.
She also died in the explosion.
The statement reads: “Today December 2, at about 11:40 hours, two female suicide bombers infiltrated and gained entry into Biu town, in Biu Local Government Area.
“One of the bombers detonated IED strapped to her body within the main market, while the other one detonated outside the market square.
“So far, a total of 13 persons excluding the two suicide bombers, have been confirmed killed in the two explosions, while 53 other persons sustained various degrees of injuries.”
Isuku said the corpses had been evacuated while the injured had been referred to the General Hospital, Biu.
He added that normalcy had been restored as the police had deployed its patrol and EOD teams to the area.
