Boko Haram kills 7 in IDP camp attack

No fewer than seven persons were killed by members of the terrorists group, Boko Haram, on Friday when the attacked an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Gamboru Ngala local government area of Borno State.

The attack, according to an eye-witness, was carried out at about 11 p.m. by insurgents who came in two trucks.

Apart from firing into the camp, the insurgents detonated explosives, killing and injuring some of the inmates.

It was gathered that the attack was however repelled by the military on ground.

Similarly, the insurgents attacked a checkpoint manned by the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and a bus stop.

No fewer than five people were reported to have been attacked.

The Borno State Police command could not confirm the report as at the time of filing this report.
