The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the confirmation of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, as it’s Deputy National Chairman (South).
This was announced by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, on Wednesday night.
Issa-Onilu said Ajimobi’s confirmation followed his nomination from the zone.
Other national officers approved by the party’s NWC include; Paul Chukwuma, National Auditor and Waziri Bulama, acting National Secretary.

Bulama replaces Mai Mala Buni who was elected as governor of Yobe State in the last election.
According to Issa-Onilu, the approval was part of resolutions reached by the APC NWC at a meeting held on January 14.
Meanwhile, the announcement is coming on the heels of the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
