The Young Progressive Party (YPP) will hold a special convention and its presidential primaries on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
According to Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, a presidential aspirant of the party, the event would be followed by a special press conference.
Venue for the convention/primaries is the International Conference Centre, New M&M Corporate World Limited, Herbert Macaulay Way, Area 11, Garki, Abuja, at 10 a.m.

Prof. Moghalu, former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, had earlier in the year declared his intention to run for the highest office in the country.
At a world press conference in Abuja, where he made his intention known, he lamented that a “combination of military rule, oil booms and busts as well as successive leadership failures of the political class had robbed the country of what seemed our destiny at independence.”
The only presidential aspirant of the YPP, Moghalu, is a political economist, lawyer, and former United Nations official.
