The Senate will on Wednesday begin the debate of the 2018 Appropriation Bill.
This was made known at the plenary session on Thursday by the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
He said the debate would be held on Wednesday and Thursday, just as he called on the legislators to indicate the day they would like to make their contributions.

He said plans were on to make copies of the budget available to the legislators.
His words: “The clerk of the Senate will make copies of the budget available to you. A register has been opened for you to put your names.”
Also speaking on the commencement of the debate of the budget, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Sabi Abdullahi, said, “It is important we take up the debate of the basic principles of the bill and refer it to the appropriate committee.”
