No fewer than five suspected militiamen have been arrested by troops of the 177 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army at Ugyi town in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The troops recovered from them, one Daihatsu SUV, seven motorcycles, six dane guns and one locally made revolver pistol.
Brig.-Gen Texas Chukwu, army spokesman, who spoke on the arrest added that four 9mm rounds of ammunition and a cartridge, twenty six daggers and a list containing phone numbers, one sword and forty pieces of customised regalia, were also recovered from them.
According to him, N1, 205 and assorted charms, were also recovered.
The Army spokesman said the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate authority when investigations were completed.
