The Independent National Electoral Commission has got the go-ahead to continue the recall process of Senator Dino Melaye.
Melaye represents Kogi West, Kogi State, in the Senate.
The go-ahead was given by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday.
It would be recalled that members of his constituency had begun his recall process in June when 188,588 signatures were collected.
The figure, in a petition, was later submitted to INEC to continue with the process of Melaye’s recall.

As part of the recall process, INEC fixed a date for the verification exercise to confirm the authenticity of the claim in the petition submitted to it.
But in a swift reaction, Melaye challenged the process in a court, claiming that some of the signatures belonged to people who had died.
In his ruling on the suit, John Tsoho, a justice of the Federal High Court, Abuja, asked INEC and Melaye to maintain the status quo pending when he would hear the case on September 14.
Shortly after, the court went on vacation.
But on Monday, another judge of the Federal High Court, Nnamdi Dimgba, has given INEC to continue with the recall process.
He gave the directive that Melaye should be given a copy of the petition and a list of petitioners.
He also said INEC should amend its timetable and give him a two-week notice.
