A popular Nigerian artiste, Gift Iyumame Eke, popularly known by stage name, Muma Gee, has called on other states in the country to emulate Lagos state by replicating ‘One Lagos Fiesta’ to create jobs in the entertainment industry.
While speaking at a press conference organized by the Lagos State government for Lagos One Fiesta, the singer and actor, was excited about the commitment of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in ensuring that the event would take place annually.

“I want to thank Gov. Ambode for knowing the value of entertainment. I want to thank him for his commitment to ‘One Lagos Fiesta.’ He should be appreciated for approving an idea like this,” Muma Gee said.
She also explained that the Governor’s gesture has put smiles on the faces of entertainers in Nigeria. “This makes me very happy and as someone who is an advocate of culture and tourism I am really glad to be part of this,” she said.
The “Kade” crooner continued, “I implore the other 35 states in Nigeria to emulate Lagos. This will provide jobs not only for the artistes but for those backstage. This kind of events would keep our youths off the streets. It will stop people from stealing, kidnapping, armed robbing, prostitution and other vices you can think of. I am very sure Nigeria would be a better place if other states decide to hold events like this.”
