The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted morning rains over Bauchi, Jos, Lokoja and Abuja, with wider coverage of rains in the afternoon on Thursday.
NiMet disclosed this in a Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Wednesday.
It added that the central states would have day and night temperatures of between 28 to 30 and 20 to 23 degrees Celsius, respectively, except for Jos with 26 to 17 degree Celsius.
The agency predicted that the northern states would experience cloudy morning with prospects of thunderstorms over Borno which would prevail over the region.
It stated that apart from the thunderstorms over the region in the afternoon, the day and night temperatures would be between 27 to 32 and 20 to 24 degree Celsius.
According to NiMet, morning rains are not unlikely over Iseyin, Shaki and its environs with the rest of the region anticipating cloudy conditions in the southern states.
It predicted prospects of light rains over Akure, Osogbo, Enugu, Ikom, Benin, Asaba, Ogoja, Abakaliki, Calabar, Port-Harcourt, Yenagoa and its environs during the afternoon hours with the day and night temperatures of 25 to 29 and 21 to 23 degree Celsius. (NAN)
