The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the Central states on Friday morning with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Yola, Mambila Plateau and Lafia.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Thursday in Abuja also predicted prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Jalingo, Minna, Makurdi and environs.
It added that the region would have day and night temperatures in the range of 26 to 34 and 17 to 26 respectively.
The agency predicted morning cloudy conditions over the south-western part of the coast with chances of isolated rains over Obudu, Abakaliki, Enugu, Warri, Asaba, Eket, Calabar and Port Harcourt.
It also predicted prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon and evening hours with day and night temperatures of 29 to 30 and 20 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, northern states will in the morning experience cloudy conditions with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto and prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire region during the afternoon and evening.
“The region will have day and night temperatures in the range of 29 to 33 and 19 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively during the forecast period.
“There are chances of increased rainfall activities over most cities across the country in the next 24-hour period due to influx of moisture into the atmosphere,’’ NiMet predicted.
