More Nigerians arrived Nigeria from Tripoli, Libya, on Tuesday.
144 of them arrived as the first batch of two scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.
The migrants arrived on Buraq Airline at 6.45 pm on Tuesday and were received by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs Bolanle Ambode.
Mrs. Ambode represented the First Lady, Hjiya Aisha Buhari.
Also Abike Dabiri who is President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide was at the airport to receive the returnees.
Dabiri had charged the media to step up the tempo of awareness of the dangers of the trip through Libya to Europe which has led to the death of thousands of Nigerians.

She said raising the awareness would go a long way in discouraging those who were already planning to embark on the trip.
Not less than 250 Nigerians are expected to arrive Lagos on Tuesday from Tripoli, Libya but the second flight was yet to take off from Tripoli as at the time of writing this report.
The first flight had on board 144 passengers consisting of 136 adults, two children and six infants.
Among them were 39 female adults, two female children and one female infant.
Also, 97 adult males were on board and five male infants.
The transportation of the returnees was facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration in collaboration with NEMA bringing the number of returnees so far to 3000.
The federal government had promised to facilitate the return of the Nigerians in the detention camps in Libya following outcry over the torture of Nigerians in the country.
The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement signed by the spokesperson, Tiwatope Elias-Fatiile, on Tuesday, said the country’s embassy in Libya had been visiting detention camps to identify Nigerians for registration.
