Nigeria may suffer another major setback in its oil production as the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has declared that it will resume hostilities.
If the previous experience is anything to go by, resuming hostilities could mean bombing oil installations and disrupting oil production.
This was made known in a statement on Friday by the spokesman of the NDA, Murdoch Agbinibo.
Said the group: “We can assure you that every oil installation in our region will feel the warmth of the wrath of the Niger Delta Avengers.”
The group said it was unfortunate that Niger Delta elders and Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) allegedly fell for the antics of the federal government by agreeing to a peace deal.

According to NDA, the government was only interested in the oil the country was able to get from the region.
“To the elders of the Niger Delta, PANDEF, we warned you against the antics of the Nigerian government yet you requested a chance to broker a new vision for our people; we told you and the rest of the world that the Nigerian government is only interested in our oil wells and not our well being yet you told us the signs are different this time around,” the group stressed.
It would be recalled that before the ceasefire reached with the federal government, Nigeria’s oil production got to its lowest in recent past following activities of the group.
But following the peace deal, oil production improved and the economy was also boosted.
