Too much of carbohydrate is not good for the skin. Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Next Edition, Mrs. Camila Osimi, a Skin Doctor, disclosed that too much of carbohydrate clogs the skin and makes it dull.
According to the CEO of CAMMYZ Cosmetics & SPA, eating healthy and living healthy should be the focus for anybody who desires a healthy glowing skin.
“Too much carbohydrate is not good for the skin; too much processed food eaten on their own is also not good for the skin but if spiced up with vegetables, it boosts their nutritional value and makes them healthy for the skin,” she said.

She noted that a glowing skin is not only achieved by the skin care products one applies on the skin. Her words, “there are other ways you can achieve a glowing skin such as eating healthy and exercising. Everybody has Gluthathione in their system, when you compliment it with fruits and vegetables and loads of water, healthy living generally, your skin will glow. I always advice my clients to ensure they take at least one litre of water daily. When you take loads of water you see yourself frequenting the restroom and you are peeing out all the toxins in your skin. That way you are getting fresher.”
She spoke further, “Your skin is your beauty and it is with you forever so invest in it. The hair and the bag you invest in will tarnish someday but your body remains with you and as you age it reflects on your skin so you have to take good care of your skin.”
Mrs. Osimi also spoke against bleaching of the skin pointing out that having a fair skin does not make one beautiful. According to her when it comes to the skin, what matters is not the colour but how healthy it is.
