Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray is the new Miss Universe.
The 24-year-old beauty queen from Albay, bested Miss South Africa and Miss Venezuela in the Top 3, as well as contestants from 91 other countries to clinch the crown.
The event held in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday 17th December 2018.
Two years ago Ms. Gray made it to the top five in the Miss World pageant.
The last title holder was Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa who crowned Gray according to the tradition.

The pageant was hosted by comedian Steve Harvey and supermodel Ashley Graham with while American singer-songwriter, Ne-Yo thrilled the audience.
Gray is the fourth Miss Philippines to hold the Miss Universe title. The others were Pia Wurtzbach in 2015, Margie Moran in 1973 and Gloria Diaz in 1969.
