A day after the mass defection in the Senate, President Muhammadu Buhari met with senators of the All Progressives Congress, Wednesday night.
No fewer than 15 senators left the APC on Tuesday.
The meeting with the senators was held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, and in attendance too were national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who is still a member of the APC, was however, not present at the meeting.

Some of the senators at the meeting were: Andrew Uchendu, Magnus Abe, Yusuf Yusuf, Ovie Omo-Agege, John Enoh, Nelson Effiong, Francis Alimekhina, Andy Uba, Sunny Ugboji, Fatima Rasaki, Olanrewaju Tejuoso, Yahaya Abdullahi, Hope Uzodinma, Ben Uwajimogu, Oluremi Tinubu, Gbenga Ashafa, Solomon Adeola, Tayo Alasoadura, Soji Akanbi, Ajayi Boroface and Yele Omogunwa.
Present too were Adamu Aleiro, Bala Ibn Na-Allah, Aliyu Wamako, Ibrahim Gobir, Kabiru Marafa, Abubakar Kyari, Baba Kaka Garbai, George Akume, Aliyu Abdullahi, David Umaru, Abdullahi Adamu, Abu Ibrahim, Kabiru Gaya, Barau Jibrin, Abdullahi Gumel, Shehu Sani, Ahmed Lawan and Ali Ndume.
A few other senators were also absent apart from Saraki.
