South African model, Lithakazi Meyile, who has been at the fore front of the campaign against discrimination of plus-size women in her country, recently started a campaign called “be proud of your body.”

Lithakazi, who is plus-size herself, is proud of her physical attributes and has been encouraging ladies, young and old to feel free to express themselves in life.
She has been using social media platforms such as facebook, twitter and instagram to inspire big and curvy ladies in South Africa and beyond to feel comfortable in their skin.

Ladies of different shapes and sizes gathered for the campaign in Johannesburg, South Africa last week. The models were all looking beautiful in the white top and sky blue jeans dress code and had a photo shoot with the organizer of the campaign, Lithakazi. The organizer told The Next Edition that, “the campaign is aimed at every single body type, skinny or big.”

She added that “with this campaign, I want to show that we as women are all beautiful and we shouldn’t be separating ourselves into different groups but rather, acknowledge that we are all different but still so beautiful.”
