The All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship candidate in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has taken an early lead in the race to the government house, Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu has won in all the local governments so far announced by the collation officers, followed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jimi Agbaje.
The local government areas announced so far are Surulere, Eti Osa, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Ikeja, Somolu, Amuwo Odofin, Agege, Apapa, Epe, Oshodi/Isolo, Ibeju Lekki, Mushin, Kosofe and Ikorodu.
The results are being announced from the Yaba head office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which also serves as the collation centre.

The Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and INEC Returning Officer in Lagos, Prof Eyitope Ogunmodede, of promised to be fair to all.
Also present at the centre are the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, the Lagos State Police Commissioner and heads of some other security agencies.
